Our faith as christians is something very important, infact we need faith for everything. Healing needs faith, because we are healed by faith. We are saved my faith.
Needless to say everything in our Christian life and in God's Kingdom is wrought by faith.
While going through the book of my favourite author Bishop David Oyedepo, Titled Pillars of Destiny, I came to understand it is only through faith we can achieve anything in our walk with God.
With that understanding, I have rededicated year 2010 as my year for searching and accesing light about faith in a mighty way. By searching, reading more about faith, I hope to increase and be able to use faith, a measure received freely when we are born again, to breakthrough in all areas of my life in year 2010.
Some few years ago, I read a book authored by Murdock in which he described an episode whereby a christian approached him for financial assistance. Then, Murdock asked this believer what he was doing about his situation. The person, lamented only he is passing through hard time but hoping it would come to an end. Infact, this believer was not doing anything to use his faith to change matters.
Reading that episode, then I asked myself, why is Murdock saying, if you are in trouble in one area or another , it means you have not used your faith in that area.
At that time, I could not understand why a minister would say with such audacity that another person was not using his faith to get the breakthrough!
After , I become born again, I came to understand that faith is a substance. Is something you can use in various ways.
You can use faith to get healed, to fight a battle , to pass examination or to get anything!! As my pastor say, faith is currency to buy anything from God. Is an open check!
Nowdays, Iam very excited to know that through my faith I can do all and anything. I use faith to conquer fear or any phobias, I feel free and not disturbed by anything or amused by unexpected of any situation, I feee in control and always in control. Praise be to God only!!
What I need to do , is only to increase my faith, surely my measure of faith is to increase and testimony for this year will be astounding but not surprising to my God, it will only pleases Him. While, submitting myself to the teaching of the Word of God and allowing Holy Spirit to speak to my heart concerning truths in the world of God.
I see a glorious and a fulfilling year.
